At Yvonne’s Salon in Alexandria, Virginia customers are given the latest pedicures and massages by tiny schools of tiny fish known as Garra Rufa or Doctor Fish. People who have had a fish pedicure rave about the service, saying even though it tickles and feels very strange at first, it doesn’t hurt a bit. As talked about on The Howard Stern Show.

The feet turn out soft and smooth. What do you think? Would you give the fish pedicure a try?
The tiny fish actually eat the dead tissue off the feat of salon guests.
Just in case you forget to make an appointment, walk-in’s are always welcome.

I find this so disturbing but fascinating at the same time. Then I find myself obsessing over small details like how often the water is cleaned, and how often they filter the water. I suppose this is eco-friendly at least.
Lots of great finds on your site! I really like it

great, now I’m really scared of flying fish with big appetites… hehe… What will nature think of next? Oh yeah, she already came up with everything!

Well this definitely wins out in the gross-yet-very-cool category of articles. Do your feet go from smelling stinky to fishy?
